Hey kids! For all of you that are already familiar with the site I guess
you've noticed the make over we've had done, thanks to Don Matthews. I
hope you all find it pleasing to the eye and functional. One feature we've
added was to make the prints more available. We've given them their own
section and for your convenience, we've set it up so that you can use
PayPal if you like. I still accept checks and money orders.
On the gallery scene, right now I have pieces in several
shows.
They are as follows:
October 14th: The Bad Moon Rising
show opens at the Roq La Rue gallery in Seattle WA.
October 14th: The Halloween and 2nd Anniversary show
opens at the Hope gallery in New Haven Connecticut.
October 29th: Juxtapoz magazine presents a show called
'Submission' which will be held at the Fuse gallery. 93 2nd Ave. (between
5th & 6th streets) East Village, NYC
December 1st: Francesco LoCastro/Pop Art Studios is
opening their 'Parallel Universe' show in Miami FL.
March 3 –April 1, 2006: At La Luz de Jesus
Gallery in LA, I will be in: “The Everything But the Kitschen
Sync Show” 'The opening will be Friday, March 3 from 8-11 pm.
There will also be a preview on Thursday, March 2, 2006 from 7-9 pm.
The 'Batteries Not Included' show opening at the Super
7 Store in San Fransisco CA. and traveling to Toy Tokyo in NYC, has
been postponed. I will fill you in as soon as I receive word.
In other news, my sleep walking seems to have stopped.
However, my neighbor said that he positively saw me drive by his house
early one morning and at the time, I wasn't waking up until 2:00 PM. So
apparently I'm now sleep driving. Another new malady has arisen as well.
I seem to have developed a severe case of dandruff. Not on my head but
in my eyebrows. I kid you not.
Please note that the link section has been updated and
expanded to include some new friends.
Here's just a few words about each of them......
Travis Louie: The tightest, most
realistic painter I've yet to meet who has also proved to be a true
friend, as has Mark Elliott, another excellent painter.
They both have a wonderful sense of humor, big talents and big hearts.
Lori Earley: What can I say? Profoundly good painter
and when I get a hug from her, she smells like flowers. I'm pretty short
so she seems very tall and she always has very kind words for me.
Ron English: Genius! I revere his work and he's a very
amiable fellow. He doesn't smell like flowers but he's taller than Lori.
Big man, big talent.
Todd Schorr: Never met him but again..... Genius!
Hope Gallery: A Tattoo/Art Gallery that is operated
by 4 severely talented men. Joe Capobianco, Eric Merrill, Julio Rodriguez,
and Tim Harris. Not only are they all world class tattoo artists but
they're all fine artists in the traditional sense. They paint, they
draw, they do it all. when I visit their gallery, I'm overwhelmed by
talent.
Fuse Gallery: Great space. Go there!
Amanda Wachob: Along with her stinkier half, Jason
D'Aquino, both of them continue to give me their unwavering support
and friendship. And their talent is self evident.
Jonathan LeVine: His gallery is the one to beat on
the east coast when it comes to Pop Surrealism. Jonathan himself is
a fine man who's always given me very kind advise and support.
Francesco Lo Castro: King of the Miami art scene. He
puts together some of the best shows I've ever seen and is a real pleasure
to do business with.
